SAEE MEMBERS,
"We Are Family" was a popular cliché and song title from the mid to late eighties that was made popular by the singing Trio "Sister Sledge". They advocated that no matter what, families should maintain a cohesive relationship and stick together.

Our last conference, held at Kennesaw University, Atlanta Georgia, represented the small family closeness of a unit tackling difficult times. In these challenging times, we managed to host a conference, job fair and welcomed some new members despite threats of postponement. The power, survival of family, and the rich history of SAEE is something we want to strongly emphasize and promote as we propel our efforts and energies toward the next conference.

The "We Are Family" SAEE Conference 2011 will be held at the University of West Georgia (UWG) yes the university that is a little "west than all the rest". This piece of heaven is located west of Atlanta in scenic Carrolton Georgia. Come join us in peace, tranquility and warm hospitality…FAMILY style!

The UWG enrolls approximately 11,500 students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees. Students enjoy a complete college life experience on the Carrollton campus, including residence hall living, intercollegiate athletics competitions and opportunities to get involved in more than 100 student organizations.

Named by The Princeton Review as one of the Best Southeastern Colleges and one of America’s Best Value Colleges, the University of West Georgia provides exceptional academic quality. Its 116 programs of study include 59 at the bachelor’s level, 42 at the master’s and specialist levels, three at the doctoral level and 12 at the certificate level. Online courses are available for both undergraduate and graduate students seeking flexibility in time and location.

"Have faith in you and the things we do" as Education HR professionals is our battle cry. Please do not hesitate or procrastinate, come "west" and enjoy "The Family" for a great teacher education fair and fantastic workshops.

Call a former SAEE member; call a friend or an HR member from your school districts, universities and colleges about joining the "SAEE Family". This is a venue where we can share best practices among professionals, who are knowledgeable and astute in regards to the issues we experience on a daily basis and beyond. Well, enough says "Big Daddy" we will see you in Carrollton GA!"
