To establish and maintain professional standards among educational placement and personnel officials engaged in recruitment and selection of staff for schools, colleges and universities

To enhance the concept of staffing as in integral part of education

To promote understanding and cooperation between college placement offices and employers for continued effective staffing

To afford an exchange of ideas and information directed toward improving educational placement

To promote professional development through association and cooperative effort, and to encourage active membership in the Association
